Its 28 degrees outside.

Our pit greenhouse is heating up to 55 degrees during sunny days. I enjoyed myself yesterday as I was trimming the scraggly lavender yesterday, in hopes of encouraging new growth.   Truly a bliss filled afternoon as the scents of lavender, rosemary topiaries, oregano and thyme wafted through the air.

Herby Egg Dip

I have an easy cheese dip for you to enjoy during the winter season. One of my favorites.
1 hard boiled egg, chopped fine
1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
1 tablespoon minced green pepper
1 tablespoon minced dill pickle
1 tablespoon mince onion

Hellman’s mayo to desired consistency, mix well and add the following seasonings and mix well again.

View from the GreenHouse

You just have to love the rich texture of the earthy green grass.  Looking out the windows now, the ground is covered in lily white snow.  So refreshing to see some of the beauty of spring in full swing again!
