This is Cass, my daughter’s horse. She’ll walk with me and watch every move I make while I tend my crop of weeds and my lowly little row of zinnias, although very happy zinnias since the recent rain.

On Amending…
amend; to correct, free from faults, to change for the better
Amending the soil. My new garden has proven to be more of a challenge than expected. This is my 3rd year working it. Weeds still seem to be the main crop. I’ve resorted to mowing them in hopes of a neater appearance.
