Fill That Pantry!

by Teemie on April 29, 2008

Fill that pantry! Plant those tomatoes.
I don’t consider myself to be an alarmist but when truckers are stiriking, I’m concerned. Along with the unpredictable global weather events over the past decade and throw terrorism in on top of that well we’d be down right foolish to depend on our local grocery to keep us [...]

It was steal!
I’ve never washed it. Afraid of the red running.  Thought you’d enjoy it. I’m planning on hanging it on a blank wall to warm [...]

by Teemie on April 12, 2008

I thought of giving one here at the blog but each time it comes up under the silly listing  in my head.

In the sun pit wall the Lemon Balm is quite happily growing.
I enjoy this herb tremendously.  Often I pick it for  as a small  tussie mussie  for the entrance porch.
The house quickly fills with it’s fresh lemon fragrance and will last for days.
For baking, I like it chopped up in lemon poppy seed bread. And oooie good minced [...]

This is just the beginning of a steady progressive movement of herbs taking over my life March thru October. Not complaining.  I love it!!
A couple rosemaries had a hard time this winter but you can see the four year old rosemary topiary is doing quite [...]

Pile O’ pots

by Teemie on April 6, 2008

I thought you’d enjoy this pile o’ pots.
I have a passion for collecting terra cotta pots. I  save the broken ones for paths, toad homes and shards for drainage.
Most of the herbs enjoy a good oversized terra cotta pot so these little ones are utilized for Country Blooms line of sweet little  size hen and chicks pots,
 perfect for the [...]
