Local Eatery

Would you like to experience  a great meal? I highly recommend Metamora’s White Horse Inn!
The chef creates amazing dishes with fresh cut herbs!!!
Dh and I had a wonderful meal there a few weeks ago. Pricey but one of the best food adventures I’ve had outside our farmhouse kitchen in long thyme! Well worth the cost. It’s casual to dressy. The coctails [...]

Ripe Strawberries!

DD 19 was snickering when she shared with me that the first ripe strawberry was enjoyed by her solo tasting yesterday  in the sun-pit. I had to giggle with her as I know the simple delight of enjoying the harvest right from the garden.

Local Farmers Market Opens

Almont Farmers Market opened yesterday! 9-2 every Saturday from now until October.
We had a good show of several farmers, the Almont  Garden Club had a booth offering advice  for you on planting while potting up a planter for a bargin price at $5.00. It was a nice addition to the usual market fare.

Thank you for making the Tea and Tag Sale a delight. Your visits inspire me to press on. There’s so much more to be put in place, tomorrow the flower cooler begins while I’m at market. I’m so excited!

Faire Simple

Its’ French for’ keep r simple’, actually ‘ keep it simple’. 
I’ve been reading ‘French Women Don’t Get Fat’
I highly reccommend this book. It’s a delightful guide to eating  ’in season and re-learning or as the book says ‘recasting’. 
This books holds wonderful instructions eating local with little effort and simple recipes.

You betcha! They’re up under the leaves. I have a salad all planned for these sweet things.

Composting To Fight Weeds
