I love a good news story! Don’t you? This one is about serving others with your talents and gifts. What makes it special to me? I know one of the team members! Sue Koons! Or Suse as some of you Bliss Sister would remember her.
…and I thought Sue was shy…You go girl!!
You’ll find Sue writing from time to time over on the Enchanted MakeOver Blog, sharing her insights as she helps with the latest redo.
Sue was inspired by a post she read while visiting Miss Lidy’s Blog over at French Garden House. She made a phone call to learn that Terry Grahl lives right here in Michigan! Located within driving distance, Sue joined their team on special projects. Personally I’m blessed to have Sue as a dear friend. Her authentic style is soothing. You’ll often find her creating for her home and friends. Its comes from a passion for those she loves, making beauty for the makeovers is natural for Sue as she enjoys sharing her creativity, blessing all who receive.
‘Watch It’ watches from Sue’s company, she’s gifting to the women through Enchanted Makeovers.
I personally admire all who love to paint. SO Not my idea of fun!! It takes a special kind of patience to turn a bed or dresser into a work of art with paint and technique. I say ‘give me a needle and thread!!’ Or better yet some fresh flowers and herbs! Although I cannot deny the transformation that comes with a can of paint, a brush and some serious elbow grease.
This truly is a good news story! Terry and her crew lift the spirits of all who come in contact with the makeovers, bringing joy and a sense of belonging to those who are blessed with the long hours of hard work.
I would like to congratulate Terry Grahl on receiving the Martha Stewart ‘Dreamers Into Doers Award’. From this, Enchanted Makeover was able to better tell the story behind the non-profit company with a documentary. Terry, along with team members from ‘Enchanted Makeovers’ will be in New York visiting the Martha Stewart to sitting the audience on the 20th. The Sisterhood of Dreamers Into Doers will be visiting Safe Horizons women’s shelter with gifts in hand, motivational speakers and more, check out the link for more info.
This personally touches my life , as a child there were times we needed a safe place to run to. I can appreciate the heartfelt passion that Terry brings to each project.
All I can think of is the love oooozing out of every possible brush stroke. Keep an eye on these talented gals. They’re going places and will be creating all the way there.
